Photosmart 850 date and time issues

My 3 week old 850 doesn't understand that 12 noon - 1:00 pm is all "pm". The date stamp on the photos shows "am". For example, if I take pictures at 11:59 am, 12:01 pm, 12:30 pm, and 1:10 pm, the photos will show as 11:59 am, 12:01 am, 12:30 am, and 1:10 pm. At the same time the date stamp incorrectly shows 12:01 am for one minute after noon, if I go to Setup/date, that screen correctly shows 12:01 pm.

Another issue is the HP software when set to automatically download all pictures taken within the past 1 hours. It downloads everything taken within the past day.

I have the latest firmware, 1.01.05, and use Windows XP Pro.
