So what's the state of headgear?

So the idea comes up every so often about getting some headgear for myself, but the few options I always find are lackluster at best. Is there a good set of glasses out there that will be A: comfortable to wear for a few hours, B: interface with iThings and PC's, and C: have good resolution and light control?

Everything I looked at a year or so ago was either iThing only or PC/HDMI/SD only, but not both, and the resolution was krap. With Google's work on their headgear, has the rest of the industry made any headway?

Thanks guys!
