WiFi Finder

Has anyone successfully used this app?
Seriously, because it has so far been only a source of wasted time and frustration for me.

Each time I try to use it, I follow the prompts and it replies:  "You are not connected to the internet..."
No &*$#...wouldn't that be why one would be using this app?

I have printed out the "map" which is just fuzzy dot icons - dropped in alleged wifi areas, they are impossible to tell from one to the next, and they are the same color as other map features so they smudge together.  Is this it really?

If anyone holds the secret to this App...please share.  I'm just glad it was free.
